- fledanow Added 2018-01-22★ ★ ★ ★ ★Both Drs Boyd and Robertson have taken care of my feisty 8 lb. poodle, Joe, who is a happy 17 years old in a gentle decline. This is an expensive time, which is only to be expected as old age brings infirmity, and both vets have been sensitive to the limits of my budget while we figure out Joe's best care. They have answered my questions in full and been willing to spend the time to educate me about Joe's issues. The service itself has been responsive to emergency calls (he just ate 4 giant chocolate cookies! He just had a seizure!) and I have gotten quick and useful advice over the phone without cost. All the staff, vets and support staff, have been kind, friendly, and easy to deal with. Finally, the costs have been cheaper than at two other veterinarian clinics I have used. I am very happy with Birchwood.
